You're at a bit of a disadvantage with the missing leg there, and you have trouble with the colour yellow, so...

Question : Compact Flash or SD cards in your digital camera? The reason : I've had an idea, which involves sending a digital camera memory card around the world to people who want to participate in taking images on it, but it would have to fit their camera, so I'm looking for what would be the best choice of card (I have thought about having one card of each type, but that seems like cheating to me). Once the images are taken they'd get put up on a website for exhibition purposes with what ever information the person that took the image/s would want.

SD without question; preferably a micro-SD. Virtually all consumer cameras and phones use them. The majority of laptops have a slot for it, as do many media centres and other devices. SD is the new floppy disk. You only see CF on very old equipment and expensive SLRs, which very few people own and those that use them will probably have a way to transfer their pictures to SD.

I think I've found the most punchable face in the world. Is this one set of photos on IMDB enough to put this unknown actor ahead of Watchdog's Nicky Campbell? http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3892879/...hmm I don't know though , that's pretty damn annoying.

My camera fits the inexpensive and old, then. Mark, wouldn't there be an issue with different cameras and formatting?

I don't see why. One person takes images and uploads them, erases the card, sends it on. If the next person that gets the card wants to format it for their camera, where's the harm? Mark

Gotcha. I didn't quite read your OP correctly. Ignore me. I go away eventually.

I thought it might be nicer if the images were kept on the card - AFAIK, none of the camera manufacturers use a custom file format, so the usual FAT32 (IIRC) shoud work fine, shouldn't it? Then, when it's finally full, it's return to sender time. You could stick a .jpg on the card with the return address.

Heather, JJ, everyone else, I did tinker with the idea of getting a really cheap camera and send that out, but I think the idea of using just the card is much more practical.

I was thinking of doing this. Would keeping all the images on the card not restrict each person to taking just one picture? And if the card corrupted would the endeavour not be ruined? It's great that I'm getting feedback like this, please keep the ideas coming. Mark

Well the body shop wouldn't even entertain a full quote as the full repair cost is easily more than the vehicle is worth, probably multiple times. Body shop reckons it's more a cat D so would get the money for the repairs/vehicle value and keep the vehicle to do with as I want. Given there are possibly more extensive damages past the crumple zone which they didn't look at Going to call one of the local accident solicitors tomorrow in order to sort out getting a replacement car and possibly some physiotherapy for my neck and shoulder after the accident as its hurting a fair bit today and I've kept getting pins and needles in my left arm last night and today, was only in work half the day with getting the train in but was in a fair bit of pain when doing work and on the train the vibrations didn't help

I like the idea of a single image though, forces the thought process more. As for a corrupt card, it's always going to be a risk, but if you went with one of the new spanky Samsung SDHC cards (they sound pretty bullet proof) you'd probably be ok. Oh, and fin, hope you get to a good resolution soon. And yes, do the exercises. AFAIK, as he's the one who hit you, his insurance should be forking out big time.
