Correct; I was indeed a fatherless child.

Poorly pusscat is off her food. This is Not Normal. Trip the vet this afternoon, I think. :(

Does she eat dry food as well? My cat is a right fussy bugger, one day she'll have a favourite, another day she'll back away from it. Somedays she'll not touch soft food and just pig out on biscuits.

I've often found if my cat isn't eating much at all it may just be before a furball coming out.... :? :D

Heh. Penny's quite good with the furballs.

We think she may have misjudged a jump or landing a couple of days ago. She might have bruised her tummy - or cracked a rib - because she complains more than usual when you pick her up. She's walking about okay, but tending to just curl up and sleep more than normal. She's not the normal perky, tail-up, chirping "hello" happy cat she normally is, and we're missing that. :(

We're out to the vet this afternoon. Fingers crossed.

Ours is grumpy and slightly mental with random bursts of happy behaviour.

Not sure where she picked that up from. :D

The Florida Kingsnake is a great choice. Lovely markings. I haven't kept any snakes for a long time but always wanted one of these:

We saw some of those when we were choosing Cyril, they look very nice and all the info we have says that Kings and Corns are quite similar, Cyril has such lovely colours and was advertised as having a lovely nature and not being a strike feeder which decided us. Of course now he's decided that perhaps he's enough of a bad@ss that he quite likes stalking the (dead) mousie and then striking when I wiggle it, which is funny, but makes me jump

This isn't likely to be the end for us, there're going to be Bearded Dragons in our future as well as more snakes later when we have more experience (and space) :D
