Can anyone recommend one? We have our own internal one but a guy here needs to demo some software to external people.
I've heard of gotomypc.com but never used it.

You can sign up for a trial of gotomeeting.com. You can control the computer too. Found it quite useful for sorting out my Dad's email while he was on holiday in France.

Our Britstock Photo developer uses Chicken of the VNC. He can run his PC server across the interwebz from a Mac. Looks pretty cool. http://sourceforge.net/projects/cotvnc/

Although using VNC means a known port is open on the firewall, doesn't take long to have a vnc password.
