QoS is a great film. Seriously! Just take off the Bond blinkers and feel the wrath of an embittered man. It's quite satisfying.

Listen to this man. I'm quite happy to keep the Bond blinkers on, and I still like it.

In all seriousness, I've never met anyone who liked that film

The section at the Opera (or whatever it is) is very good and the opening sequence (both car chase and shootout) is OK but overall the plot makes little sense, the villain is weak, the ending is poor, the women (both the parts and the actresses who play them) are awful and some of the SFX are really really ropey.
It's not the worst Bond ever made but it's far far from the best.
But I do have to say, if you take the fact it's Bond away from it, if anything that makes it worse. Bond gets away with a lot of stuff because, you know, it's Bond. If it's not Bond, it's just a standard thriller and by those terms it's really not very good at all.

Well so am I, tbh. But I feel that this would help some people to better appreciate it.

The Dark Knight is a traditionally "fun" or necessarily "entertaining" film. It's extremely dark and depressing in many ways. QoS is similar in that regard. The set pieces are stunning. The journey of the characters is gripping. The general tone of the film is extremely gratifying in places. But it IS a little different.

Had a quick scan and don't think anyone mentioned:

We Own the Night
Two Lovers
Paranormal Activity
Grindhouse Death Proof
Couples Retreat (was funnier than I thought it would be)
The Last House on the Left
The Fourth Kind
Lakeview Terrace
Donkey Punch
Man On Wire

There's a few randoms I've seen recently!

Carolyn, I'm not entirely sure your list fully meets the requirements …
