i have just purchased from crucial 8GB (2x4GB) of DDR3 1066 ram for my iMac @ £111
thats a lot better then £500+ for the same memory 3 months ago, bargain ...

RAM prices have crashed recently. Now is the time to get orders in.
Just stuck 4gb extra in the imac for less that £50. Might order the 16gb kit this week

Curcial Mac Pro memory is still quite expensive, especially considering my Mac Pro came with 6x1GB sticks...

Doubling to 12GB would mean forking out ~£250.
I think I'll see what prices are like at the end of the month, then maybe look at getting two 6GB kits...

I was looking at buying some RAM from crucial recently and their web site, instead of just selling me the RAM as they have in the past, tried to redirect me to one of a list of other shops licensed to sell their RAM sticks. Have they given up direct sales or is it just for specific stuff they can't be bothered to sell themselves?

just checked the crucial site my memory was despatched yesterday
but the price of the same memory today is £123
so i believe i may have got it at a bargain price ...

added
about 20 mins after this post the new memory arrived and is now fitted
