just back from rifle club ;) nice to know that I got great groupings right in the middle so I have the capacity to assassinate any zombies I may encounter :(

Zombies wouldn't be scary if it wasn't for one thing: there are always more zombies than you have bullets.

In a zombie attack scenario, you need a long sharp weapon like a shovel or a big sword. Even a big club will do if you're strong enough to repeatedly their smash heads in with it.

You might enjoy Highschool of the Dead. It gets boring at the end, but it's a pretty good example of what does and doesn't work when you're out numbered with no supply route.

Blimey that was quick posting, you caught me on the edit!

But yes, a cricket bat is better than nothing. You can definitely smash a pumpkin with one.

Ideally you want something longer though.

You'd get tired, I'm thinking baseball bat, but then they're getting uncomfortably close, may risk a bite. No I think I'd still go the gun route, but maybe haul myself up in a shopping mall gun store, with a backroom full of ammo and a healthy stock of exploding shells.

Are we still talking about weapons? Should I re-phrase that? :P

Thinking about it, that's what you want for a zombie attack. An axe!

Can't beat a good chopper... or so I've been told! :etc:

Are we talking the rubbish fast moving zombies here, or the much more realistic slow, lumbering type?

Mark
