The latest operation flashpoint was a bit pants. Although it ran like a dog I much prefered ARMAII. I dont even play that anymore though.

Got my cheque from the 3rd party's insurance company today..... surprised it got to me tbh

Town was spelled incorrectly, as was my county (North Umberland....)

And they dated the accident on the 21/10/2010 as 21/11/2010, will make sure I don't drive on that day then!

They also massively screwed up the wording on the claim letter

And I got an empty slip from the salvage yard which I guess was meant to include a cheque from them.... and I need the COD from them

Screw it, im buying myself a game tomorrow to make up for a crappy week so far

Boo. Didn't get the job. I'm not superstitious, but I mention anything about applications or interviews, and it falls apart. =o(

Sorry to hear that; hope something else turns up soon.

Yeah, hopefully. Got to keep trying, or it's back to checking returned clothing in a freezing warehouse. :x

Brother woke up to his first day of unemployment after the administrators shut down his employer yesterday. He and 3000+ in the same boat.

The fail being they had 2-3 years of guaranteed work lined up in his area but the primarily publically owned bank decided to stop the credit line.

Uber fail.

What will be worse is that the new welfare cuts might mean that unemployment will be much tougher as well. If he is under 34 he might have to move as well as a result of the housing benefit cuts if he rents.

Built my Dad a website a little while back and recently added google analytics to it for him. About a fortnight later google stopped reporting any data for the site. This had been pointed out by the SEO company that my Dad uses who had noticed it wasn't appearing on all pages and offered to sort it out for £50. Just went to have a look at the page sources and none of them had it in. Went back to my master copy and all the analytics code was there clear as a bell.

The only people with FTP access who've done anything to the site since I originally uploaded the analytics code were the SEO company. Either a deliberate attempt at fraud or a staggeringly poor piece of web development right there.

Sorry to hear that Heather, and yeah, I know what you mean. I stopped mentioning interviews and relationships to people, until after they had worked out (well, keeping job interviews secret from my girlfriend wouldn't work, but several dates failed, when I started telling people about them, before they took place. With my current girlfriend, I kept it to myself, until I had actually met her and had a date with her - we met online. Only after I had been out with her and everything seemed to work, did I tell my mother. 3 years later, we are still together...)

Still no (valid) cheque from the insurance company

They managed to spell my name wrong, the street I live on, the town I live in and the county (for starters)
Then they put on the covering letter basically threw away my right to claim for personal injury as a result (when the amount was ONLY for my vehicle, still got them to sort out my travel expenses before I got the hire car as it's > £50)

To top it all off they put the date of the accident as 21/11/2010
I'm not driving next Sunday out of choice in case it comes true.

And a fail on my part... booked my next physio appointment for the same day and time I have a dentist appointment, woops (going to change the physio as it takes weeks to get any dental appointments)
