A player of MMOG Entropia Universe has reportedly broken the virtual transaction record by spending $330,000 - of real money - on virtual property.

According to fansite EntropiaPlanets (via Edge), Jon Jacobs sold a number of in-game properties to another user, John Foma Kalun, the most expensive of which was the $330K Crystal Palace Space Station.

Entropia Universe lets users convert real world finances to a virtual currency and back again, giving Entropia's in-game properties a real cash value.
