I'm thinking of buying Derren Brown tickets for me and my bro (for Christmas).
The available seats are... Stalls near the back (about 18 rows back) or the Upper Circle on the second row.
What do you think would be best?

Sunderland Empire in Sunderland and it's second row in the middle of the upper circle. Dress circle has gone completely.

Personally, for a show like that I'd prefer the higher seats. You shouldn't have such a problem looking over peoples heads.

I went to the site again and the upper circle said restricted leg room and poor visiblity. I've gone for the Stalls seats. It also increases the chance of being picked on by Derren Brown

Stalls. Reason being, when I saw him, his act tends to concentrate on the stalls. Depends on what the access through the theatre is like, of course, but generally it's easier for him to get folk from the stalls than the circles. So you'll at least (hopefully) feel more involved. I did. Missed being 'volunteered' after a frisbee went over the top of my head by an inch and got caught by the fella sat behind.

That sounds like a good reason to pick the upper circle seats!

Because of this thread, I've been looking at his tour dates. I'm now tempted to get both sisters an Xmas present of tickets to his show.
I can get tickets to both stalls and dress stands. Which would be better?

Wouldn't the dress code be t-shirts no matter what the weather?

Thanks to ojfoggin, I now have two tickets to DB's show. Hope it works out as a Xmas present. I will buy some other toiletry-type stuff to make up for the lack of a physical gift.
The hard part's keeping everything a secret. I've told them to take a week off in May so we can all have a week off together.
