Yep. How can people say they don't notice the difference? Are they blind?

As always size matters ;)

If you have less than a 26-32 inch TV then it is hard to see any difference

Once you get int the 40's then it is easy to see the difference

HD looks great on the 20" full hd screen in my bedroom, looks better on the big screen in the front room but I can tell the difference on almost any size

We have a 32 inch in the livingroom and I can definitely say there is a difference between HD and SD. I can watch HD without my glasses and my eyes naturally downgrade it to SD

I feel Derby City council need a mention in this thread.
Most papers and news reports have been slagging off local councils for not being prepared for the snow and ice.
Well I've seen the gritters and snow ploughs out. The roads are clear. Last year they had men out fixing pot holes as soon as the ice had gone.

Having grown up in Doncaster, its nice to see a council that spending my tax wisely for once.

I have to echo this for North Tyneside Council. Bin and Recycling collections are on hold but that's no biggy. We've had it for the past 2 weeks or so and the roads have always been passable.

At least its cold so the bins dont start stinking

Gatesheeeeed Council has been useless, been over a week since first decent snow and not a piece of grit in the car park at work, it's like they expect us to clear it for them....

The ring I had to hunt down for my GF's christmas present arrived from the US and I think it'll fit! Yay!

The sticker on the package said do not deliver until custom charges are paid, it got delivered anyways. Double yay! :D

I've been asked what days off I'd like to take - I'm thinking I'm going to be hitting up the double rate for the holidays, so probably the 26th and that'll be it. Sign me up for the double time!
