I saw it on the BBC website yesterday. I agree - prison/hanging is too quick'n'easy for him. He needs punishment!

People tend to "ignore" things, or keep out of the way. Part of the problem is people either don't want to know, or figure they'll be of no help and carry on. Nobody wants to get involved any more. They'll help themselves. They'll probably help family. They may help friends. They won't anybody else.

When I was at uni, a friend and I were walking back from the gym. There was a small crowd on the other side of the road. We figured something must've happened, so we went over to be nos... er, investigate. A young woman was crying on the floor, begging for someone to help her mother. Her mother was collapsed and unconscious. No one had called an ambulance, so we did. Everyone else was just stood around, gawping.

What is the impedance experienced by a Knight moving on an infinite grid of resisters?

It's been bugging me for months. Nearly got me run over :?

Whether l'Atomo di Forza has defrosted sufficiently to risk a starting manoeuvre, and whether there will be adequate charge in the battery to actually start him.

I've apparently sold a DS game I listed on Play.com a long time ago (they must be desperate, the price is ridiculous after all this time)

I first saw this problem on the Google Labs Aptitude Test. A professor and I filled a blackboard without getting anywhere. Have fun.

So why is that problem so hard to work out? Would I need to do physics before i can even comprehend the problem?

There's infinite paths of length 1...infinity between 2 points on an infinite grid with no obvious series.

AFAIK, leccy likes to take the shortest route between points, in this case, via 3 resistors. The sum of those resistors would be 3, no?
Or am I lacking the degree level physics know-how to properly understand the question? Like Chris?
