This is why I protected my car during November - two layers of sealant, two layers of wax: bulletproof. Wheels have two layers of sealant too. If the temperatures rise again, I'll give the car a rinse but no formal washing.
One thing I'd like to try out is Optimum No Rinse - you don't need a hosepipe, just two buckets - one for cleaning and one for rinsing.

Still frozen over here. We had -7 - -8 all week, warming up a bit now, only -3°C now. Main roads are all clear, our street has some ice, but no real problems. Heating having to work hard though!

Yeah, I've heard that about Pete's, but not used it myself. I used to love Natty's Blue on the both of my Golfs, really popped the pearl and deepened the shine. That lasted about a month or so. But like I said, waste of time on silver. A single coat of Colly lasts me all winter if I keep it clean. The UQD just helps with beading, protection and a little extra shine, but mostly it's just quick to apply post wash and sits on top of the Colly beautifully. The dirt just came running off yesterday. Product name check please Mr. Wolf and what colour is she?

FK1000P and 476s.
Next year, I may look into that g-techniq nanotech stuff. Supposedly far superior interms of protection and csn potentially last all year.

Seems like overkill to me. I'd rather go with either or those, than a high-gloss/show wax. But they're both long-life jobs. But then, my days of spending 10hr days just on paint and wheels are long gone.

All this talk of 'product' makes it sound like a hair salon.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Sorry, I would tell you about my coke smuggling ring, but I'd risk Interpol involvement. Oh no wait, they're busy.

What you do with fizzy drinks in your end of the country should be kept to yourself James.
