So, anyway, there's a Buffy reboot in the offing, minus a Whedon.

Clicky.

Oh, and Joss' response:

Clicky.

Quote:
I can, however, take this time to announce that I'm making a Batman movie. Because there's a franchise that truly needs updating. So look for The Dark Knight Rises Way Earlier Than That Other One And Also More Cheaply And In Toronto, rebooting into a theater near you.

Leave me to my pain! Sincerely, Joss Whedon.

Michael Bay denies 'Transformers 3' 3D shot in 2D

Director Michael Bay has hit back at rumours that the next Transformers movie has not been completely shot in 3D.

Bay insists that Transformers: Dark Of The Moon is being shot entirely with 3D cameras, despite rumour-mongering in Tinseltown suggesting otherwise.

Image

"We have problems with our 3D? Really?" Bay wrote on his website's message board.
"Come into my edit room and I will show you beautiful 3D."

Bay continues: "There has never been a live action show that has pushed the boundaries of 3D like Transformers 3. I actually loved shooting in 3D."

Bay also hints that the first teaser trailer for his latest 3D movie will launch at cinema showings of Tron: Legacy and The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Voyage
Bay's statement comes after producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura and director of photography Vince Pace said the crew was "doing a lot of the movie in 3D."

Pace had said that Bay is shooting some of the movie in 3D, and is converting the rest of the movie into 3D during post-production.

Movie fans will soon get to see what's in store, as the Transformers: Dark of the Moon trailer is rumoured to be released on December 10th.

I'll be surprised if it's any worse than the ROTFL anyway... And I suspect the above pic is just how Bay talks to people

“Fight For Your Right” Becomes A Movie, Mike D Remixes Lykke Li & Matt & Kim

Dec 9th '10 by jessica @ 9:57am

According to NME, Adam Yauch is writing and directing a short film about the making of the Beastie Boys’ “(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party!).” It’s called Fight For Your Right Revisited, and it’ll premiere at Sundance’s Short Film Festival. Elijah Wood stars, and Danny McBride, Seth Rogen, Will Ferrell, John C Reilly and Jack Black will also have parts in the film. From the above photo, it looks like Rogen, Wood, and McBride are playing Mike D, Ad-Rock, and MCA.

In other Beastie Boys-related news, Mike D just remixed Lykke Li’s single “Get Some,” and Matt & Kim’s “Cameras.” They’ve got a similar feel, as you’ll hear:

Tom Hanks Stakes Out Kathryn Bigelow's TRIPLE FRONTIER!

Producer Charles Roven has confirmed to ComingSoon.net that Tom Hanks will appear in Kathryn Bigelow's THE HURT LOCKER follow-up, TRIPLE FRONTIER. It's reportedly an ensemble piece set in the difficult-to-monitor tri-border region shared by Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay, where organized crime and terrorist outfits flourish with relative impunity. Academy Award-winner (for THE HURT LOCKER) Mark Boal will write the screenplay.

The film is likely to undergo a title change (it's also been referred to as SLEEPING DOGS), and will most certainly not be shooting in Paruguay or Argentina, as the governments of those two nations have expressed outrage over the project's negative portrayal of the region.

Last October, it was reported that Bigelow and Roven were also considering Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Will Smith, Jeremy Renner, Javier Bardem and Christian Bale for five significant male roles. Take that, Robert Downey, Jr.

Like the sound of that...

If Scott can't do anything with it (and unfortunately that's possible :( ), they really should just leave it for a decade and hand it to someone like Aronfsky (spelling?)... More likely however, is another rent-a-hack like Anderson or Wiseman

And we know why Anderson and Wiseman don't care about negative reviews too! :) ;)
