We've had a pretty heavy load of snow here in the last 36 hours and although the main roads are pretty clear, the side roads are dodgy. I've driven 12 miles this morning and if you hit the snow it's a bit slippery. If there's one word I hate at this time of year, it's "Treacherous". When referring to a road, I would say that the only time a road "betrays" you is when you hit a patch of black ice in a shady spot on a sunny day with the temp in the car showing above freezing. If you think you've been betrayed when there's a foot of snow, ice, drifts etc. you're an idiot. Then again, if you expected to get through in your Hummer H1 with snow chains, you might feel a bit let down by your vehicle.

Well I am looking out of my window to see 13 buses trapped in the snow. It is barely an inch deep. It was very cold here last night so I guess that it is ice that is the problem.

Hoping it just holds off long enough for us to get back home tomorrow. We may just beat the snow gradually moving North... Then it can snow as much as it likes.

very handy these icy roads, when I have to drive a lot, if I make a wrong turn or street by accident I just pull the handbrake and around I go without having to do a "3 point turn"

In Brum, there's about 3 inches already and the snow shows no sign of stopping any time soon.

I warned KW about this earlier. He's going to be driving home past Brum on the M6 later. Personally, I'd have stayed at home...

Well three were trapped by something on the other side of the valley.

Here is a link http://www.lippiselkbag.co.uk/also look for coupons as well. I got mine with a £10 discount so even with postage it was the cheapest online.
