Npower fail!
Just got an updated bill after giving them a meter reading the other day.
I've gone from being £244 in credit on the estimated reading to being £199 in credit on the actual reading. Yet Npower seem to think my direct debit should be increased as a result of that.

You already have two hundred quid of my money you thieving bastards!

British Gas tried that with me. Their tactics became clear a week or two later when they announced those massive price hikes, a couple of years ago.

With that in mind, are N power telling you that a £200 credit will not be sufficient to cope with their new increases?

Not used to using a fan oven.

Leaned right in and caught a blast of hot air right in the eyes. Now dripping with Optrex.

Ouchies.

You were right. They've just announced price rises.

I fail...

Been clearing out my room and found a carrier bag of assorted stuff i bunged in when i came back from Uni.

Inside i find my 3 copies of Windows 7 and think to myself "i better put these somewhere safe".

Today i'm like "I think i'll reformat since i've been meaning to properly integrate my second HDD from uni" (currently it's just as a data drive since i've not had time to backup from one HDD to the other.

Lo and behold i have no clue where i've played that Envelope... i've checked everywhere that i would have thought of putting it, and even places where i generally wouldn't. Even checked the two large bags of recycling i've filled from the crap in my room and i've yet to find it.

On the plus side i did find my iPod that i'd thought i'd lost... although i already replaced that... and would technically prefer my Windows 7 copies (no offence to you mr. iPod, but i got over you).

^^^I have the same problem as you - I keep things in a secret/important place and then promptly lose it. Currently am missing two laptop HDDs.

I bought a safe. I can now put things in a "safe" place.

I still can't find my driving licence, or that BIOS battery I bought for the media centre or the car fob I put down somewhere in 2009...

The thermocouple on my heating boiler decided to burn out last night, so it's freezing.

Literally freezing. My hot water pipes have frozen, and probably burst. I'll find out when they defrost.

I've just spent a fortune on a new TV, and now I'm wishing I'd saved the cash because it's going to be a cold dry Christmas with no heat and no water until I can pay people to come and replace everything

Pre-Christmas fail to Warehouse Express, Giotto's and Jessops.
My Dad ordered a new Giotto's tripod for his video camera from WE... who couldn't deliver it until after Christmas. So he cancelled that order and reserved on at the same price to collect from the Jessops in Glasgow. When he got it home and opened it the plate release had jammed and the bolt sheared off. All in all, not a terribly good experience.
Plus everywhere he goes he seems to be seeing people using Manfrotto tripods (including Glasgow University's wind tunnel).

Dad's technology curse is alive and well

My nan (semi-deaf) and the old lady across the road (almost totally deaf) trying to have a conversation.
It was hilarious to watch/listen to.

Yes, but you're not in Scotland where people have decided that deliveries are impossible before Christmas thanks to the weather.
