Pre-Christmas fail to Warehouse Express

I ordered something from them last Sunday night and it turned up here on Tuesday.

Yes, but you're not in Scotland where people have decided that deliveries are impossible before Christmas thanks to the weather.

That would be the delivery companies, saying they couldn't guarantee it, non?

My Brother & Sister in law, who live about 10 miles away, just received the Christmas card I posted to them on the 16th of December. With a first class stamp.

Dear customer,

We've noticed you're a business customer using Demon HomeOffice Broadband, a service designed for single connection home workers. As a business customer we think you deserve the very best we can offer, so we're planning to upgrade you to our Business 2+Pro service on 24th January 2011 to make sure you get the very best from your broadband.

As a valued customer you'll benefit from a special price...

I'll leave it there. Demon obviously haven't noticed I stopped paying them for their "service" nearly a year ago, having switched to an ever so reliable cable internet instead.

It's probably worth sending them an email to avoid any complicated arguments down the line.

Abso-bunga-lutely. It was on a credit card which has been replaced a couple of times since. I remember using the machine to stop the payments anyway.

Step up the Digimate L-1936WD monitor on this PC.
It's colour reproduction is simply astounding. NOT!
For example, the gradient in the X404 banner at the top of the page as I'm writing this has at least 8 clearly distinguishable bands in it rather than the smooth gradient it should be. Makes trying to look at photos somewhat interesting.

With the ever increasing price of petrol, such that it would double the value of my car to fill the tank, I decide I'd like to invest in a bicycle to save on fuel and get me fitter into the bargain.

Do the research, find a bike that fits requirements and budget. :D

Click to find out if there are any in stores near me...

Not a single one in the entire United Kingdom. :o

So, why, Halfords, is this non-existent bicycle still listed on your frickin' web site? Haven't you got live stock updates or anything?
:x

I was thinking the same thing when walking to work this morning.

I found my (admittedly old and somewhat well-thumbed) copy of H2G2 in the recycling bin earlier. Not impressed. It has been retrieved.

Been taking down Xmas decs today. Bit of a fail on my part for not noticing the much bigger fail. One Xmas card said
