She's tweeted 5 times in the last month! That's over half her tweets ever! I'll try to, but she'll probably read it here first. Things are not so bad (8-) Just waiting for a few employment things to appear, but small fish and I've no rush.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Just been reading a thread on another forum and it had been resurrected after 9 years.

Too bloody cloudy here for any eclipse action. Gutted. Missed the lunar one for the same reason

Same here, though I'd've probably missed it any way as sunrise time for here this morning was 08:45 and there's buildings in the way. Mark

Here ya go. Taken from Lossiemouth looking over the High School towards the Brown Muir. You can just about see the moon in the lower left quarter of the sun - honest.... Uploaded with ImageShack.usAl

Very much a minor annoyance, but the company I've just been in contact with don't want students just for a summer. Understandable, but a shame. Not sure where to go looking now. Hmmm.

In my experience, fresh meat takes longer than a summer to tame and under/postgrads are often worse. Especially in specific, degree-related industry. No offence Edd, but I get where they're coming from.

I know, and I can completely understand their decision, it's just a bit of a shame and I could have been applying to other places. There are certainly plenty of schemes out there, it's just finding a suitable one.

Which is a pain as many people won't see you as a person who has a degree (be it partial or full), but as a cocky know-nothing that wants their job... I've been told several times I don't know what I'm talking about because the person I'm talking with just sees me as another pompous graduate. Thankfully on those few occasions I've been arguing facts rather than opinions so such accusations have been fairly easy to quash. Fight on Edd, it's their loss!

Work is a game and you only learn how to play through experience. I was just as green when I started, but I didn't have a mountain of debt, expectation and entitlement with it. If every graduate was like you two, the workplace would be very different. I LOVE hiring/working with people who are smarter than me. Keeps me fresh.

I spent a year in a real job before uni (not much I know) but I absorbed the deep cynicism and worldliness of my coworkers. I now know I can be a complete moron 5 times a day and those who've done the job for 10+ years definitely know better! Prime example of my moronic-ness -> a Christmas present of a thermometer/clock thingy with an outside radio-connected temperature sensor. I fold a protective layer around the outside sensor to keep the rain off whilst it sits in the garden... using an ALUMINIUM foil container Wife: "It's not reading the outside temperature" Hmmm, I think I've solved that mystery...
