Isn't Wales home to the best ice cream parlor in the world or something? There's a parlor up in Gelert...

Is it “grin and bare it” OR “grin and bear it”

Well, it depends. Traditionally, it's the latter, since you are accepting a load on your shoulders, which you must bear.

However, if you're into flashing or mooning, then the former might be more appropriate. Followed by "leg it".

Cadwallader's has a very good reputation. And I remember there being a really good ice cream parlour near the Brangwyn hall when I was a student in Swansea. Dunno what it is with the Welsh and ice cream.

I think it's more to do with Italian immigrants and their passion for ice cream, who settled in Wales.

I'm amazed. I haven't been back to Swansea for, what, 20 years. It's still there?

I went to an all-you-can-eat Chinese restaurant last night, except it wasn't a buffet, you ordered it and they brought it out...Only problem was they never brought enough out! And we ordered food in courses which was a shame, because I could have spent longer on the course where they give you duck and pancakes, but everyone else wanted to move onto the main...All in all, the experience reminded me of tapas, but with Chinese food...

It wasn't Memories of Bejing was it ? :D
