That's because you're stupid, not because of work experience me thinks .....

I like to persuade myself otherwise but my point was that I don't THINK I'm the greatest mind ever, despite evidence to the contrary (unlike those who give academics and graduates a bad reputation). EDIT: ...because of the work experience.

If I do 1st and 2nd and 3rd line I.T. support, should I put all of those on my CV?

Depends if you're happy doings 1st & 2nd line i suppose. I generally put that I do 3rd line support & consulting and provide assistance to the 1st & 2nd line support teams during busy periods. Shows you as a 3rd line engineer but a team player.

Y'see, that's a problem for me, because I am the 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support teams. (8+/ Mark

Then you could put down something like "providing IT support from 1st to 3rd line" I find putting other qualifications like my MCSE etc and putting down a list of technologies/applications I know works better than a complete job description (they can ask about that sort of things in interviews)

You've done this before Mark, I know nothing about support, but I did used to be a recruitment consultant. If you want a second pair of eyes on the CV at any point, shout me.

+1 I've not been a recruitment consultant, but I've looked over 50 or more CVs in previous jobs.

I've only got one referee, does that matter? (8+/ It's a professional one, I could put a mate as a personal one if necessary, but I don't know anyone that could act as a second professional one.

Never put references on a CV. Just put "References available on request" then worry about it later

Heh, cool. Never done that before, but it's a nice touch. I shall make the amendment now. Mark
