I was expecting a Special Delivery today, so I was listening out for the door all morning. I heard my post fall onto the doormat with one of the "Sorry we missed you" cards.

I've never run so quickly out of the door chasing the postman! It was raining and I never had my shoes on :(

Peter.

I HATE it when they do that. They do it here in Cardiff almost without exception, and it means I have to trek up to the frakkin' sorting office, which isn't exactly next door! Thankfully at home in Cornwall they take it to the local post office, which is only down the street (although they never do it at home anyway, so no worries there).

I changed my password yesterday...I can't remember what I set it to
I've been logged into a temporary account all morning, and can't access anything...No mail, no work IM, no access to jobs...It's been quite quiet, I can only log into external things...Like the forums :D :D :D

Ditto :D

Got my 500gb WD My Book today :)

And a rant from my housemate for me taking my stuff back, they seem to think it's fine to just use stuff I buy and it's not ok for me to take it back........

I know what you mean, I'll be looking at packing away the cutlery and pans soon to move out, and people won't be happy that they suddenly don't have anything to use...

I'm having a barbecue and a massive bonfire this weekend.
We've got a stupid amount of wood to burn.

It's the fact I seem to be the only one that buys toilet roll, washing up liquid and bin bags.... I dunno if they just magically expect it to appear or can't find it when they go shopping but they seem to horde the damn stuff, 8 rolls in a week go missing on a regular basis when I buy them (Which at a few £ a week does add up)

Will probably have a nice arguement with her tonight then on Friday take my TV home with me meaning the sky they wanted so much is useless lol

Not long left then I live on my own hopefully for 6 weeks or so :D

If I don't buy washing up liquid, they just don't wash up...If I buy my own toilet roll and take it about with me, they turn to the bleach wipes (ouch!) and end up buying them for themselves...

LMAO, lol.

I nearly used bleach-wipes by mistake once. You see, on top of my toilet is a pink pack of Tesco Luxury Moist Bum-wipes for use when things are a little tender. So when I see a pink pack of moist wipes, "Bleach" is not the first thing I consider!

I know the feeling!

I needed the delivery today and the postman decides to put a card through the door and run off with it. Plus, the sorting office is miles away and is only open a couple of hours each day.

My socks are still wet from running down the road trying to catch him :(

Peter.

I forgot to mention that my car is even less healthy than it was when I set off this afternoon.

I was parked quite sensibly at an industrial unit and my car got reversed into by a fork lift truck driver. At least the driver did hunt me down, apologise and is sorting it out with their insurers. I know a lot of people would have scarpered very quickly!

Peter.

I've heard rumour that they're going to start charging for stuff they have to "look after for you". As in, you'll need to pay to get your stuff they decided not to deliver.

Did I dream that, or has anyone else heard it too?

It's funny we're talking about this actually. My house mate was working from home today and was waiting for a parcel to be delivered (that wasn't why he was home, and I don't know why he doesn't get stuff sent to work), when the postman came he dropped some stuff through the letter box and a "we missed you" note was included, my house mate went up to the postman and told him that he hadn't knocked the door, the postman apparently replied with something along the lines of "I know, but I wasn't going to carry a parcel on my bike"...
