My father-in-law had to deal with a train driver just after he'd hit a suicider. It sounded awful!

I forgot to mention in my FPOTD that I took my car in again yesterday and I think the guy cleared the message... he also attached the diagnostic unit and said that two codes had come back. Something about the alternator and, (I think) the crank shaft sensor, but he said it should be fine and just run it round for a few days and bring it back if it goes again.

So far, she's been running nicely, and the mileage seems to have gone back to normal so fingers crossed... :D

Gotta love the old, "There ya go Mr Customer, I've reset all your codes now go away and see if they come back..."

Hope she's ok John.

Heather's tweet just prompted me to post this here …
Last night, I was so intent on looking for suitable accommodation in London that when I got home from work, I actually forgot to cook my tea.
I didn't just forget to eat it, I actually didn't even realise that I forgot all about cooking it.
I realised at about 23:50, by which time I was getting ready for bed.

Mark

Oh I do that fairly often. get to late in the evening and realise the thing you were planning to cook, you forgot to cook. So nowadays I generally have sandwich ingredients on standby.

We had a suicide a few weeks before Christmas, the driver is still off because he can't sleep.

they werent bright atall, as they arent flashbangs but MK9 thunderflashes which is meant to simulate a morter or artillary bombardment, needless to say the echo bounced off the forest I was in, dropped it in an iced over canal near WW2 disguised hill bunkers

if you held one of these things in your hand when it went off, Im pretty sure you could lose a limb.

I've blown a cactus up with a stick of dynamite so I can't really criticise.
