£3 won on my bets now (as my freebet was backed/layed on 1-0 man utd which gets me £4 and the qualifier lost me £1), I'm happy whatever the result now tbh EDIT: as long as it is over in 90 mins, dont want to stay at work for et and pens!

Being totally outplayed. Barcelona are dominating the midfield. Get Scholes on to get stuck in.
I expected Barca to be this good, i just expected United to be better.

The pint was cold, and refreshing. It was one of the tastiest pints I've had the pleasure of enjoying for a long, long time and he even bought it with 15 minutes to go. Probably to shut me up. Gloooory glooory, Barcaaaaloooooowna!

Thats wasn't a ridiculous prediction. The big players didnt turn up tonight for United. Iniesta was utter class.

I am really pleased for Thierry, it wouldn't be right if a player like him didn't win CL at least once. On the other hand, Hleb didn't even make a bench. Serves him right for being a greedy *#$%^&. He can pack off to pathetic Bundesliga and play there if Ar.senal isn't good enough for him... I just wonder, how on earth has Manu got outclassed like this? I can't explain it... EDIT: Oh yeah, and another thing. I loved how Puyol pissed Ronaldo off by diving all the time and being a d*ck in general. "Fight fire with fire" comes to mind, it was hilarious seeing Ronaldo in state of despair when somebody was using his own tricks against him...

I can. They're not actually as good as the English media or some of their fans think they are. A lot of premiership defenders may have a panic attack when United walk onto the pitch but there was no way Barca were going to. Barca had effectively three of the 5 best midfielders on the planet in the middle, Man United had a kid, a geriatric (who also has had nowhere near as good a season as the media claim he has) and someone who last looked good three seasons ago for a midtable team that they paid £5m too much for. If United could have started with a fit Owen Hardgreaves and Darren Fletcher stopping Iniesta and Xavi coming forward they would have had a 50/50 chance. But that midfield was never going to be good enough and after the two other bits of the team figured that out and tried to bypass the midfield they ended up giving the ball back to Barca far too often. Did you see how many long balls Rio Ferdinand punted at Wayne Rooney in the second half? That was because he realised giving it to Carrick was just as good as giving it back to Barcelona. Jon

1. Fabregas was not playing so it couldn't have been 5 best... 2. Fergie could have put Scholes on from the start but he would have got a red carded after 5 minutes so that wasn't really an option 3. I agree with Giggs' performance this season being overated. It was just like Fergie playing G. Neville as a rightback against Ar.senal in the first game this season... I think Fergie has made a mistake by taking a game to Barca. He should have do the same thing as he's done last year when he played them. Make things tight at the back, soak up the pressure and hope to hit Barca on a break. Maybe he thought than Manu are good enough to play open game with Barca. Now we know they are not...

That was not the result I wanted, but there's always next season. For Liverpool!

It was the result I wanted. After going to watch games at both home stadiums. I much prefer Camp Nou, the atmosphere thats generated with the sing and the crazy, insane catalan fans!! is so much better than the frankly sterile feeling you get at Old trafford. Plus they have a better team (also a city full of culture, fantastic local food mmmm and a gand prix!!) ....and its always good to see Ronaldo get in a right huff when things dont go his way. My dodgy prediction is that there will be some serious attempts to get him from Manu over the summer by "another" club.
