I have come across a very strange bug. It does not really affect me in any way but it is curious and I'd like to see if anyone else is affected.
Basically, when the time is 00:00 (not sure if this is phone or server time) my iPhone can't get to any websites.
I get a strange "illegal exception" error.
This lasts for the entire minute and then everything works as normal as though nothing happened.
I have only noticed this now as I don't have broadband in my new flat yet so I've been using my phone to browse the web more than usual.
I'm not sure if this is an iPhone thing, an Orange thing, a local (as in my postcode area) thing or what it is but it's very odd.
Can anyone else give this a go. When it gets to midnight try browsing the t'interweb on your phone and see if it lets you on.

I'd love to be able to help with this, but I'm on day shift this week, which means I'm usually asleep (just) by the time 00:00 comes around. I'll try it on Saturday though, as it strikes me as a curious bug. (I also moved the thread to this forum, thought it better suited it.)

Thanks If I remember tonight I'll try to get a screenshot of the error message. I haven't really bothered to read it properly up til now. I'll post tonight (or whenever).

Well I couldn't browse any internet last night at all so I couldn't get the screen shots.
I'll check again tonight.

Have you got another picture taking device, (camera, web-cam, another camera equipped mobile) that you could use to take a picture of the screen with? Or at least knock up a quick sketch!

Ok, just caught that the time was 00:00 again so I got some screenies... And... I'm posting from tapatalk so the images may be squiffy. If they are I'll re post tomorrow from work.

Probably unrelated, but at 10 last night my phone started displaying the time an hour ahead. All fine when I switched it on this morning.

Orange, 3G connection? Maybe it’s their system at fault and not the phone?
