Which is an eccentric thing to do. Definitely not normal.

Try the Australian take on the same ep. It's 90 minutes and cut quite differently, like a proper special, not just a VT in a normal show.

Much better!

So where can we see it?

http://www.finalgear.com/shows/topgearaus/3/special/

Thanks for that, it was actually quite good.

Top Gear faces racism test case following Mexico comments

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/top ... ments.html

Quote:
"Mexican cars are just going to be a lazy, feckless, flatulent, oaf with a moustache leaning against a fence asleep looking at a cactus with a blanket with a hole in the middle on as a coat," he said.

Only an idiot would think that was true or even a representation of mexicans. The US moans that they are entering the US and taking jobs from americans, hardly feckless. It might have been representative a century ago but not now.

It doesn't matter if it's representative now or not, that language shouldn't have been used. Slag off the car by all means but don't denigrate the people of the nation that makes the car.

Exactly right.

Not funny, not clever and not even based on fact. Mexico's unemployment rate is about 5.2% compared to our 7.6%.

It did surprise me quite a lot when they came out with that. I do very much wonder if it was deliberate provocasion given the Andy Gray issue of late. It certainly seemed to me to be quite noticeably more aimed to cause offense than the joke about truck drivers killing prostitutes, which was clearly about 1 specific truck driver.

Well that will be easily recoverable as it will make the program even more popular in the US.

The worlds gone mad imo, PC and all that.... bollocks

Loved the Transit, the extra dash dials was a bit of a giveaway but still funny.

I agree. I took it as a joke and nothing more. Just as if someone described me as a bowler hat wearing, fish and chip eating, cockney accent speaking limey.

And yeah the boost gauge on the dash (I presumed thats what it was) gave the game away instantly.
