I think that if the iPhone 5 has it then that will be the biggest driver for a few months at least. Though my concerns are about security. I think that it will be useful overall.

It might be handy as another option, but I doubt I'd ever use it much...

I am struggling to think of what I want to use it for. So I have to agree that it might not be used that often. Maybe getting a newspaper, though it depends on the limit per purchase. I might use it for a restaurant that does not accept chip and signature.

I like the idea of NFC for getting more information out of posters etc, but for small payments I much prefer the look of contactless debit and credit cards.

No, but if you've got an iphone you can snort it off that. Er... I'd imagine.

It would be cool to have Oyster card on it. Or pay for things in coffee shops etc...

I am sure that there will be deals with TfL to combine them. As for coffee shops I think that the issue will be the cost of the bank terminals that the shops have to pay for.

So your phone gets debited by waving it past a sensor. What could possibly go wrong?

Lots, stolen, abused by a family member, no way of proving that it was not you. So many things could go wrong.

I own a OnePulse credit card from Barclays that is contactless. If I feel I was charged incorrectly (e.g. I didn't buy anything) I can call Barclays and the will give me my money back no questions asked. If I go and I abuse it by asking for too many refunds they will cancel my card, simple as that. So I am not worried about it at all. Also daily limit on purchases is £15 if I remember correctly. What danger do you see in that?
