Well maybe you should consider not getting your baby a fragile breakable present? ;) Though otherwise I do think you have a valid complaint against the courier.

At this point I'd like to heartely recommend DPD as being really quite good at the whole couriering malarky.

I hate HDNL so much that I once e-mailed Amazon and said if they kept using HDNL I'd stop using Amazon altogether.

I've had stuff left in the front (outside) porch left for all to see, stuff chucked in the wheelie bin on bin day, stuff chucked over the garden wall onto concrete, stuff left outside to perish in the elements, or stuff not turn up altogether - but still show as "delivered" on their system.

Bastards.

I didnt realise Amazon used them. I ordered some stuff from there last night*. Damn it!

*fortunately not breakable but that doesnt mean it wont end up in the bin going by your post!

They came to me in the snow from Scan, just before Christmas. Spot on.

Aye, [LIFTED] as they were known in our house were abysmall, 90% of the time not even able to find the house (it's quite prominent and on one of the busiest thoroughfares in the city). So far DPD haven't put a foot wrong, and I really like the delivery estimate they give (2 hour window), as they've hit it 4 times out of 4 so far.

im guessing the [LIFTED] was Sh177y-link, i used the same name for them :P

ive personally never had problems with city-link, they were always on time, and never pulled the "knock on door then run away" tactic some have been know to pull (see the video i posted earlier). ive only ever used DPD once, they showed up a day late and i dont recall them asking for a signature on delivery :(

As it happens, I've just signed for a 1TB F3 from Scan, which was ordered at 1500 yesterday and delivered to work by a smiley man in a red polo shirt. I really like DPD.

Standard next day. It's for my Dad, and it was his first purchase from Scan, so he only signed up yesterday afternoon and entered our work as the delivery address. Very impressive.

As for the drive itself, I have 2 F3s and 1 F1, they're all great, but the F3 does seem a little quieter in my external dock. Not a lot in it though.

wow, i wish we got service like that. its always been a few days wait for me out here in the sticks :(

thanks :D the last spinpoint i had was an HD501LJ, which was an awesome drive (currently being used as a backup in case my barracuda kicks it). F3s are 40 quid on scan right now, i might pick one up on my next order :)

I've heard a lot of people complain about orders/deliveries from Scan.

They've only delayed one of my orders, because the quantity they ordered in wasn't delivered, not really a surprise as hardly anyone else had the item in stock.

But Scan emailed and phoned to tell me the about the delay, and offered a full refund.

They often deliver a day earlier than expected. I honestly don't know who they were using as courier.

I'd agree on HDN - I've had to chase up an item in the past only to be told they attempted delivery and I wasn't in. No card through the door of course, because I was in all day and they didn't even drive down the street. The lazy tw@t just CBA to do his job and probably dumped most of his parcels at the local Post Office.

Fat b@5tard friday is in full force.

Egg, bacon & sausage baguette for breakfast
A Sandwich, cerial bar & crisps for a snack
Battered Sausage, savaloy & Chips for lunch.

Add 4 oranges, a banana, an apple & a pear.

And it's not even 2pm

That's an impressive amount of food to get through. Have the headphone amps arrived yet?
