I absolutely love the rolls with cheese on, so I imagine a "French stick" would be just as delicious

+1

I sometimes make cheese scones as well. Nom, nom.

I'm stuffed. Had a lush, locally caught, beer-battered cod and chips at the Victory in St. Mawes an hour ago. But all this talk of French sticks is making me hungry!

I've seen Danish loaves in Sainsburys, the Danish gf denies ever having seen anything like it in Denmark.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Having been told it's possible by more than one person and reading up on the web, this week I am experimenting with frozen sandwiches for lunch.

Lol!

Made them all tonight and put them in the freezer. Idea is to take them out in the morning and by lunch they are thawed out.

Anyone else ever tried this?

Aren't you going to end up with soggy sandwiches though?

Apparently not. You have to double wrap the sandwiches before freezing and you can't freeze ingredients with high water content (ie salad).

I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow. If it goes well I'll prob buy a loaf and make a whole load. :-)

If anything it'll stop me wasting loaves of bread because they've gone off and will save me a bomb at the work canteen.

How ready? Should I get merely ready, or go all in and get ready ready?
