I know this is a new series, but that actually sounds like a repeat on Dave.

Ooh, let me guess, they buy tired examples of classic cars that lots of enthusiasts love and wreck them, mostly by driving into each other repeatedly.

And apparently so is his car.

I don't know if that's a reference to tonight's episode as I've stopped watching it for the above reason, but Hammond is the one who does that most. I do like may because he tends to get annoyed by it and jezza is a fantastic writer who at least realises what he's doing even though it irritates me, but Hammond just has no idea. He has no redeeming qualities to override his idiotic behaviour. The whole show has become such a ridiculous parody of itself that's disappeared so far up its own backside I really can't stand it anymore.

Maybe ignoring it completely would be a better option for you?

+1 If you don't like it (I'm picking up subtle hints of the fact that you don't) then just don't watch it. I don't like football and because of this I don't go into the football thread and wax lyrical about how atrocious the game is.

Last night's show was a bit of a snoozer... My problem is I keep thinking, 'I'll not watch it, then it'll be brilliant, and everybody will sit there telling me about it' The other problem is every time I see a crap episode I think, 'Next week will be my last', then that episode's good

Don't watch it. If everyone moans about it, you did good, if everyone bigs it up, use iPlayer. Mark

Quite so. Or Sky+ it, then it if it turns out to be a crap one you can just delete it. There's actually something quite cathartic about deleting an unwatched recording of a program you used to like but has now 'gone off the boil'. Kind of like chucking out the stuff an ex left behind in your house Jon

I'd considered that, but it's not really an option with the car fanatics in here

Nick Frost and Simon Pegg were good. The rest of it was bit poor though. And they obviously didn't think Frost was worth mentioning in the listings either (Radio Times I'm looking at you).
I have to agree that Hammond is the most irritating of the three, though that's perhaps why he's mainly found on childrens TV when he's not doing Top Gear. James May makes some fairly decent documentaries and general interest stuff and Clarkson has the comon sense to know he should limit his TV work (he's normally quite good value on HIGNFY and QI for example).

I find hammond the most irritating though the cool wall solves that because he cannot reach many of the photos.
