Well, I wouldn't have thought it was deliberate (best guess), and it's more likely to have been a site you visited or an unknowingly infected file that got transferred, to my mind

That's usually the way with those things. I've seen this recommended by a few people here, but maybe ask around first?: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.50.1http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-A ... 04572.html

Ripping CDs to your laptop might be stimulating for some folks, but I'm not one of them

thought I saw a load of UFO's, weird red glowy things in the distance, 3 of them made a triangle shape and just stopped dead, drove closer and it was people in the beach launching chinese lanterns I was almost convinced I was filming real UFOs for once gutted

LOL, I had a very similar experience a couple of weeks ago. Couldn't figure out what was going on, until a friend suggested Chinese lanterns. They're a lot brighter than I expected.

Three lights was almost enough to convince you of an alien race visiting earth and dicking about with a spaceship 300 metres above ground? I think I'd need a bit more proof.

UFO just means Unidentified Flying Objects. No one said anything about aliens, except you

I inferred from Bratty's wording, it didn't need to be specifically stated to be there in the context.
