Cancer can be a real bugger to shift. He’s had a year or so with the new liver, but it may have resurfaced elsewhere. Hope they can catch it in time. And for those of you who need to check on a regular basis: http://www.isstevejobsdead.com/

It seems the National Enquirer have got photos of Steve Jobs looking very seriously ill.....gaunt and frail were some of the terms being used. The ever-sensitive Enquirer are claiming that he has 6 weeks to live and have interviews with doctors backing this up. Can't access the Enquirer site from here but there's plenty of comments around reminding one (if it needs pointing out) what a load of rubbish the Enquirer publishes most of the time. Hope Steve pulls through OK.

The National Enquirer seems to only allow access from the USA. Alleged photos of Jobs here: http://www.businessinsider.com/heres-th ... obs-2011-2I say “alleged” as it could be anyone, and to be honest the NE is not the NY Times. Daily Fail also has the story: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... -live.html

The National Enquirer have actually being pretty good over investigative journalism. They were the ones who broke the Tiger Woods mistress story. They have had a number of awards as well for journalism. If it is true it will be a great loss.

There's a bit in the article that says something like "but Apple's share price has not been affected".
Well that's alright then isnt it. I'm sure that's great news for his family.

I was not even considering the company. I suspect that Tim Cook will carry on running it. They do have a good team around so it is not dependant on Steve Jobs alone.

I suspect the shareholders don't have that view. Anyway, if these are the images that this whole story is hinging on, then I'll wait for an official line from Apple. I'd certainly be hard pressed to tell who that is in those images. Mark

Apple have a fairly shoddy record of informing the stock exchange & etc of things they later find out and think they should have known, if you follow. Especially given this is personal rather than corporate information, I doubt Apple are going to say anything unless they absolutely have to i.e. if Steve carks it. Quite. Although publishing pictures of someone they claim to be Steve Jobs if they actually knew it wasn't would be a very unwise thing to do. Jon

Got to love the first comment on there. "I can see why Jobs and Schmidt are there, but Zuckerberg? Why not Ballmer? Zuckerberg is nothing more than website owner." Apart from the fact that at 26 years old he's worth more than the other two put together.
