Nicholas Courtney is a name you will either instantly recognise, or not depending on where you were on Saturday evenings during the 1960s and 1970s. He played Brigadier Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart in Doctor Who. He died recently. Sadly, he didn’t ever make an appearance alongside one of the newer Doctors, but he did appear in a Sarah Jane Adventures story. I, like many other Dr Who fans, would have liked to have seen him step onboard the TARDIS. I think he’d have fitted in well with Matt Smith’s Doctor. http://www.sfx.co.uk/2011/02/23/nicholas-courtney-rip/Five rounds rapid!

I wonder if they’ll write in a nod to him in one of the upcoming episodes. Wouldn’t have to be big - just an acknowledgement of the Brigadier’s passing.

It would be a nice touch if it was to happen. Mark

Didn't the Brigadier get a mention in one of the David Tenant ones (the one where the Sontarans have implanted things in eveyrones Sat-Nav)?
Still, a sad loss for Whovians.

I only just about remember Jon Pertwee as the Doctor. However, I did see the episode of the Sarah Jane Adventures in which he featured. That's one advantage of having kids- seeing lots of great programs that non-parents probably miss.

I've been known to "tune in" especially when there is a proper Doctor Who connection. It was good to see the two faces reunited.
