So is today the day I get my iPad?
If it's released today would there be any point in going to the Apple Store to see if it's open and if they have the one I want in stock, to buy there and then?
I'm not going o queue for it, that's for sure.

I reckon they'll announce today, but not release...Even if they do it'll be quite late over here, wouldn't it?

Possibly yeah. The event happens at what, about 5pm? Depends how long they want to string it out. So if you don't think they'll get released today, when do you? Mark

For the last couple of months I've been telling myself the beginning of April, but I've no idea why, I can't recall hearing it anywhere, and I've no reason behind thinking it  Perhaps 40% of me wants to say that it'll be released today, and I now recall that shops are open later than 6pm in the cities, so it shouldn't be too late to grab one today

A number of websites have removed their stock of the iPad 1 and some have deleted it off the site.
Everything points towards a release today.
Now it's a waiting game.
