Ive always wondered what the "ark" meant in the eccentric timarks name means, is it a subliminal message meaning timark was a seal in his previous life? as seals go "ark ark ark" etc seals are bald too

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Jim is my middle name. Up until 2008 I was known by my first name but started using Jim "as part of the break with [my] past life".

This one is quite straight forward as it was more or less invented by the Eddman.
Otherwise i have been known to use my Star wars name on some forums, and uni nickname on others. compartimenting is key.

Thanks for that tinbath. I just read the phrase and translated it literally in my head and got confused. Must stem from the fascination with French that was held by British aristocracy at the time. Good explication. As for JJ's post....

we would all be called "i" aswell, that would be confusing. my username is simple: its the first thing i thought of when trying to create a hotmail account. train of thought was something like "what should i use? oh sod it... ah ha!!!". it sort of stuck after that. my real name is super-duper secret, so secret not even i know it
