"Extreme" pornography was found on the computer of gunman Derrick Bird by police, an inquest heard.

The taxi driver was described by a former girlfriend at the hearing as cold and "emotionally void".

Judith Fee, who had a six-year relationship with Bird, said he headbutted her after she tackled him about looking at other women.

After his shooting rampage in west Cumbria, police found extreme internet pornography on Bird's computer.

The 52-year-old killed 12 people and injured 11 before shooting himself on 2 June 2010.

In a statement read out to the inquest into the deaths, Ms Fee said he did not support her when her sister was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

"Derrick's feelings on the matter was that it's life and I had to get on with it," she said.

"He seemed emotionally void and when I needed him the most, he wasn't there for me."

There was also a statement from Det Con Mark Littlejohn, who examined the hard drive from Bird's computer.

"There were no documents and no family photographs saved anywhere on the machine," he said.

"The vast majority of the use centred on internet access to extreme pornography sites.

"These internet sessions tended to take place in the evenings and on average lasted in the region of 20 minutes.

"Prior to the events of the 2 June there appeared to be little change in the user's habits and there was no sign of the system being used in the previous three days."

He added that there was also no sign that any of Bird's victims had been researched using the internet.

I saw a documentary on that years ago, I think its illegal stuff thats sold in warehouses, where women are strangled or raped i n a sexual manner whilst someone films it etc, could also be gory type stuff or forced mating a bit like snuff exept they dont die...

I meant as in unwilling to be part of filming of a video whilst doing it with her captor, and then they sell the illegal vids off to warehouses, I remember a video of cops raiding one of these warehouses and finding crates of these illegal dvds

I believe that as far as such things are ever defined, extreme porn involves causing actual damage or inflicting severe pain during the copulatory act, generally to the genitals of one of the participants. If they are unwilling participants, then it's called rape and torture; if willing, it's just extreme.
