I got my ZX81 out of storage today, and did a proper unboxing photo set.

I’ll do better photos when I have the time to get the DSLR, this and some sunlight together. Until then, view the full iPhone originated set here:

Cool! Never had a ZX81 but I always liked the cover artwork on the BASIC Programming manual. Someone at school got the kit version and put it together themselves....the height of geekery at the time.

Ah, the memories, or should that be "Argh, the memory!"?

Rofl. Some of that brings back memories. Although we had a zx spectrum 128k, up until a few years ago we still had the box in storage. I chucked it out but I remember the cardboard outer and the polystyrene box with sinclair on it.

I still have the 48k and 128k knocking about but I don't think either works.

What kind of money do these make on ebay? My friend's threatening to ditch her 128K, 64, 500 and all their games...

I would imagine that this would be the auction to follow. The ZX81 has been modified - better keyboard.

Not sure what a 128K Sectrum would fetch. Search eBay.
