I went to an all-you-can-eat Chinese restaurant last night, except it wasn't a buffet, you ordered it and they brought it out...Only problem was they never brought enough out! And we ordered food in courses which was a shame, because I could have spent longer on the course where they give you duck and pancakes, but everyone else wanted to move onto the main...All in all, the experience reminded me of tapas, but with Chinese food...

It wasn't Memories of Bejing was it ? :D

No, it was a place called "Water Sky", however the guy taking us had gotten confused and started calling it the Sky Water, which inevitably turned into Skywalker...So we were all wandering around looking for the Skywalker restaurant, we wandered passed the actual place twice before he realised he got it wrong...

Bit gutted, to be honest. Had started making plans, been in a mad rush here to tie up as many loose ends as I could, and I needn't have bothered.

That's bad luck, Alex. Keep at it though. Something will turn up.

Cheers Heather.
Just kind of frustrating when I'd been making plans and was looking forward to catching up with some old friends again.
Like I said, there goes the car maintenance, the camera and the new Mac.

Morning all,

I've got my grandparents coming up today, not sure what I'm going to do with them...My house mate decided to sleep on the sofa last night with his girlfriend, so I need to politely shift them before my grandparents arrive...

I think you should leave them there, just to play the sympathy card with your grandparents when they arrive ("look what I have to put up with!").

I am thinking of making it seem normal, then asking my house mate and his girlfriend to make small talk while I finish something off upstairs and then make tea...They should be suitably embarrassed about the situation, while my grandparents would probably find it quite amusing :P

That's my boy!

A good classic 50-year-old typeface family.

Blue - Had a few forays into the shorts after work thing in February. By the end of March I had put all my long troos away :D Shorts FTW ;)

 Wow. I guess I'm just a bit more sensitive to the cold than you, I wish I could bust out the shorts more often, but I don't think shivering is very good for the street cred'. ;) 8-)

I've had black trousers on in the office, and yesterday I was starting to suffer. I will do my best to continue wearing shorts in the evening in until my legs can take it no more.

I have a cunning plan....... I'm currently wearing my light summer troos to the office. At lunchtime I will unzip the legs and hey presto - instant shorts :D

The other thing is since my accident I feel the extremes more - when I start shivvering then I'm cold. The other end is a problem as I'm continually feeling hot :(

24.2* in the office now...
