I saw a film once as a kid where there were some astronauts stuck in a space ship without any power and at the end, the last one was floating away in space.

Me too. It might not even be the same animé but I can remember the final battle of one that fits. It was a fair while back, maybe 5 years or so, and a lot of dragons have passed since then. Plus I'm rubbish at remembering names anyway.

That could be "Silent Running" directed by Douglas Trimbul. An Eco tale about vast bio-domes in space, made by the guy who did the special effects for 2001 (Douglas Trimble).

Wow, cheers, that could well be it. I'm going to see if I can find it anywhere, it looks like quite a good film and I don't remember any of it apart from the ending!
