There's a really good multiplayer version of 7 across patience, where all the sorted piles are communal. Only really works in real life.

The only online multiplayer I bother with is co-op with friends. I generally don't bother with your CODs and the like because, as it turns out, the vast majority of people who play them seem to be utter feckwits.
The last game I played a lot of online was Lara Croft : Guardian of Light which is essentially a co-op puzzle solver. More of that, less of 13 year old American kids shouting homophobic abuse at all and sundry.

Completely agree - some of the best games I've ever played never had an online mode (or I never bothered trying it). The only reason I play COD online is because I play with my friends. We have regular sessions each week and good banter. And we mute everyone else. _________________ He fights for the users.
