CoD is about the only game I've ever tolerated online for any amount of time - most games just don't suit it in my experience :?

There's a really good multiplayer version of 7 across patience, where all the sorted piles are communal. Only really works in real life.

The only online multiplayer I bother with is co-op with friends. I generally don't bother with your CODs and the like because, as it turns out, the vast majority of people who play them seem to be utter feckwits.

The last game I played a lot of online was Lara Croft : Guardian of Light which is essentially a co-op puzzle solver. More of that, less of 13 year old American kids shouting homophobic abuse at all and sundry.

I either do my best to mute the 'tards (just my experience, but the French love a fcuking unnecessary chat mid-game), or mute the sound altogether and stick on some rock music :D

I only really play multiplayer online of games that are forced to co-operate

Don't really care about competitive multiplayer, that is what getting drunk at a lan party is for ;)

Completely agree - some of the best games I've ever played never had an online mode (or I never bothered trying it).

The only reason I play COD online is because I play with my friends. We have regular sessions each week and good banter. And we mute everyone else.
