To buy or not to buy?
A 1.5TB Seagate 2.5" external HDD for $146 inc TAX. (That's about £92) The same model is £122 on Scan.
Now I don't need it that badly, but it would be convienient. Should I get it while I'm here. I'm assuming the two year warranty wouldn't be valid in the UK.

Don't forget import duty & VAT (if it's coming from outside the EU).

Nope. There's no way I could get a refund on it if it broke, so I'd bin the box and receipt, so customs would have no way of knowing I'd bought it in the USA.

Oh if you're buying it yourself it's a different story. I thought it was coming via air mail.

That's the larger version that requires an external power brick. The one I'm looking at is powered through the USB cable. This is the model I'm looking at. CLICKYEDIT Actually I think the box here said USB3. Can't remember off the top of my head.

I'm looking for capacity rather than thinness. I want the largest drive I can get without having to carry a power brick around with me.
