It's a lovely sunny spring Sunday afternoon. Are you annoyed by inconsiderate neighbours belting Radio 1 from their patio at full volume? Email the DJ and ask him to get them to turn it down a bit. I did. It only bloomin' worked! Now it's just the lawn mowing, dogs barking and car alarms, like any other Sunday. Bliss.

You weren't so polite about the neighbours on your twitter feed.

That's why I like having old people living on both sides. No noise.

True, but the council noise nuisance page suggests a polite word in the first instance. Although this is far from the first instance...

That sounds really deep and meaningful. I'm unclear of the context though. Sounds sad

Built a new desk yesterday, building his-and-hers desks, but gf has decided that the legs are too long, so we need to change them first. I wanted 80cm deep for working on, which restricted me to pine, hers is beech as she only wanted 60cm deep - there is a lot more choice when you look at "kitchen worktop" depth...
Drilled hole for the cables, clear varnish and put the legs on my table. It is still standing this morning... That is a good start, for this clumsy DIYer.

iSteve: The Book of JobsLooks like an authorised biography of Steve Jobs is to be published in 2012. Having read quite a few of the previous books about Apple and Steve Jobs it's hard to imagine what else there is to say as the whole thing has been gone into in such detail. Jobs quite often comes across in a very negative light in most books so it will be interesting to hear his side. I can't help thinking that it is being done now as he's so ill though. More here.

Will they be bringing out a white edition next year?
