Morning.

Got a cheeky email from a recruitment site this morning, asking me to rate one of the recruitment companies dealing with a job application I made back in March.

Here's what I said:

Quote:
I have heard nothing from this recruiter since my application.

Beyond the automated site acknowledgement, there has been stony silence - not even a "thanks for your application, but you have been unsuccessful this time". No-one has bothered to contact me, to keep me in any kind of loop, or even notice I exist.

Very poor, very rude, and far from unusual. Those recruiters who bother to contact me never really make me feel important or wanted, and generally fail to follow up after the initial contact.

I seriously expect better in this day and age, with so many ways to remain in contact.

Rated: 1 out of 5 on all counts.

I can only assume this kind of attitude towards job applicants is common, as it's been my experience for much of the past year.

Morning all.
Lots of washing to do this morning, still at least it's the right weather for that sort of thing.

I hear what you're saying Heather. Despite the proliferation of ways to communicate these days I've found that a lot of companies, agencies and the like do less communication now than they did in the past. Well, apart from the automated response type variety.

A pox on all their houses, that's what I say!

Have a great day folks.

Lo peeps

The results of the piccy comp will be with you shortly - to do them last night would have resulted in certain inaccuracies due to the level of beer consumption. Just need to pop down to the library first to see a book my boy has made - all by himself :D :D

Spending today loading a trailer with the father-in-law of bits they are taking to France, whilst the Wench and her Mother go to an NCT sale and get their nails done. Not sure how that one works...

Afternoon all.

Glorious sunny day in Kingston.

Went in to town. Spent more than I should have shopping & found out our apple store are getting daily ipad deliveries.
May have to reserve one for collection.

Morning all.

Sunny again.

Time for grand prix, breakfast, a haircut then drop the little one to a party whilst I sort out some work

Lo.

I need to spend some time today cataloguing and boxing stuff we're aiming to sell next weekend. I need a couple of good podcasts to keep my brain occupied while I'm doing it, but I've listened to all the good ones already. :(

May have to fall back on the music collection instead.

It's looking a little hazier out there today, thanks to all the chemtrails.

Onwards and sideways.

Morning all,

Not feeling very productive today, but I hope to get some programming done. We'll see how that goes...

Morning all.

Already raked out some moss and cut the grass this morning. At least it's a nice day to be up and about.

Have a great day folks.

The Wench is disappearing off to France this evening for two weeks. Given that I'm not coping with the hot weather here, I shudder to think how bad it's going to be when I join her in a week's time.

Morning all,

Spent yesterday playing around with web site tools, rather than playing around with programming books :(
Faye is off this evening to begin a tour around the UK, she'll be gone until next Thursday, as a result I'll have much time to do things, but I'm wondering if I'm going to feel like doing anything...

Ho hum! And have a good one!

Morning.

Monday already? Weekends are getting shorter, unless I'm much mistaken.

I note a new photo competition theme, so I'll have my photosnaptic thinking cap on today, while fending off bleating from Best Beloved as he desperately tries to fathom how to use some program he's found on t'internets that lets him plot paths from one place to another. It's a mystery to me, I have no interest in it at all, and my patience yesterday was wearing very thin with continual requests for assistance. I do my best, but when there's nothing of any benefit I can see, what's the point. I can think of about four other uninteresting things I'd rather be doing! :?

Oh, the joys of being a carer.

On with the motley! Have a great day everyone.

Morning all,

One more week, (which means two and a half more teaching days) until the Easter break... Yay!

Have a great day everyone.
