Doesn't that context make it sound more like a place?

I think it's the second place he needed a word for. The first place was the slaughter house, the second stop on this rather grim journey being the industrial scale butchers.

The "Zerlegung" would be the Cutting Room (or sometimes the Cutting & De-Boning Room)

Ah yes. Or an "Edit Suite", as they're known in the biz. Well, my biz.

Thanks Rusty. Edit: I keep thinking I am in the wrong job, I have to visit slaughter houses and sell them software and hardware to control their processes, but I don't eat pig or cow - due to a medical condition... Still, at least it didn't put me off my food, when I visited my first slaughter house - I also didn't lose my breakfast. It is quite sad, when you see pigs going down the line, at our biggest customer, they slaughter 1,000 pigs an hour on one line.

Got another one that is bugging me...
"Leergut", literally translated means empty goods and refers to empty containers, euro palletes etc. where you take a deposit for them and when they are returned, you send the deposit back.
Leo.org just says "empties", but that just doesn't sound right for non container items...

Returns could cover non containers such as pallets.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

It can do, depends if you're using companies with bad QC. Just use two words then, such as packaging/delivery returns. Returns or empties both seem correct to me from the days of returning glass bottles.

There's something intuitively horrifying at the thought of that, it's too efficient, too cold - we should have to fight and chase the animal, to get such a rich reward. We're too good at what we do.
