monster.co.uk reed.co.uk jobsite.com I think are the main ones. If you are looking for IT work then look at desktop support (first line) or IT administrator (the guy who logs calls, responds to emails and changes tapes). But the pay for those jobs really sucks. It's probably better to take any job anywhere and then talk to the IT guys about what they do, IT guys love to be taken seriously.

If you are looking for training courses, I would start with a book or two on fundamentals. Say if you wanted to go into networking, then Niall Mansfield's Practical TCP/IP is better than a CCNA (CCNA is a very weak course that ignores any of the basics a network engineer needs to know). I'd much rather see bold claims about Wireshark on a CV than CCNA with no work experience. Top it off with a Network+ qualification.

If you want to support desktops and servers, then the Windows7 MCTS course is probably the place to start.

Don't waste cash on courses for these things, just get the book. They're not usually very hard, but some of these things are amazingly boring.

Think not about which colour your arbitrary part of the world is coloured on the atlas, those things don't really exist, think instead of who you want to be surrounded by, and what activities you want to be doing.

Sounds like you've just watched the matrix. :)

Come here. People who can fix computers and speak Spanish are in short supply. The weather's way better than there and it's cheaper too. Also massive ex-pat community.

As soon as I can I'm off elsewhere. Not too fussed about where, just not here.
