This is the only night of the week I'm likely to be up after midnight, finishing an episode of Darkness Radio, then bed for snuggles and (hopefully) a good nights sleep.

Hear that Hammys? Quiet!!

I'm here.

Installing XP onto a laptop with a 266mhz Pentium 2, 128mb of ram and an incredible 8mb of vRAM. :)

Having said that, can't be any worse than the current Netbook range. :P

I'm tweaking on Fentimans Ginger Beer, Fentimans Curiosity Cola and three squares of Lindt Chilli dark chocolate, as I'm celebrating passing my driving test earlier today :)

Well done! Didn't know they did them on a Saturday. I'm been drinking a lot of Fentimans's lemonade recently with the hot weather and very nice it is too.

Bolton are always on last on Match of the Day, so it's rare on a Saturday during the season fro me to get an early night :).

Still here, still filling this application form out, really tiring me out. But it's the job I really want, so I'll persevere.

Bah.#

This Dell laptop must have some sorta variable speed CDROM, as it's always spinning up, spinning down when it's in use. Either the drives on its way out, or the stupid BIOS is doing it.

To say its got such lowly specs, the laptop itself is actually quite fast! Loads up really quickly, browses the Internets fine. :D

Just a shame it's a FAMILY laptop. This would do for me until I can get a nice shiny new one. :D

I've just got off the phone from my girlfriend...She went to bed early and woke up about an hour and decided to text me, I called her and it would appear that an hour on the phone from an Orange PAYG phone to an O2 costs around £10, exactly what I topped up with just two days ago :(

I'm not complaining, it's the best talk we've had in a good while, I've not seen her for a month and won't see her again for another two weeks, she's swamped with essays and an exhibition to put together for her final year of uni plus she's been working a shed load during the Easter to get money to help fund her last semester as the uni wouldn't help her out (yet they will help people who get £9,000 a year and spend their money willy nilly ).

I don't really feel tired now...Which doesn't bode well, wondering whether it's worth not sleeping...Just staying up until tomorrow night...A few more episodes of Scrubs me thinks...And maybe some rum...

Cheers for being here guys.

My mobile phone will have better performance than that laptop.

I'm not joking either

It's probably an old 8x drive. They were CLV rather than CAV. Faster drives spin at a constant angular velocity which means they're say 50x at the edge, but only 20x when reading from the middle. 8x or slower drives actually span the disk faster when you read from the middle, so the linear velocity remains constant. That's because they're based on the 1x CD you get music on. If you spin a disk too fast, it can shatter. It's all fun and games until someone looses an eye ;)

I'm bed going to Zzzz.

Yeah they're even last on MOTD 2 when the run through just the goals, did you see how they blatantly refused to discuss our obvious penalty claim as well, if it had been Arsenal they'd have shown it fifty times. My driving test was on friday, it was only 1am when i posted :p
