+1

And Bratty, I can never help thinking that wherever you live should probably have a couple of controlled explosions every few weeks

Found two photos of myself online today. I may have to contact the owner to see if I can get the originals.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Giant potato cod. They go black when hunting at night, and use your torchlight to help get dinner. I've had my arm up to elbow in their mouths before but it's the red bass(tards) in the photo that worry me more, vampire teeth that go straight through 8mm of neoprene.

I thought that they were groupers from looking at them, though wiki describe them as

Quote:
The Potato Cod, Epinephelus tukula (also called potato grouper or potato bass)

Lots of animals and vegetation have local names but it is the latin name that really specifies them.

I live nearby, not even sure what prompted me to take the pic! Feel free to criticise the shot - it was strictly point and click while I couldn't really see the screen, and was nearly getting lifted off my feet by the wind. It also hasn't had any processing as you can see

I'd have taken the time to get a better shot, but running around my area with a camera is bound to have some gobsh1te asking questions. And that's just the neighbours

The painting was done by local artists IIRC to represent the hundreds of men who worked in the shipyard in it's heyday...

You live near the docks?
I'm just up the Ravenhill Road.

Yeah, my mate used to live near the Ravenhill Road, I liked it for the same reason I like where I am - most things I need are in walking distance ;)
