I have to say, there's some great stuff on their albums. Mind you, there's a lot of filler too

Either way, fair play to them for sticking to what they believe, and it's not like they need the money

True. From Fly On The Wall (1985) to Stiff Upper Lip (2000) inclusive there's a lot of filler. Fortunately Black Ice was much better.

Indeed, if the Black Ice tour generated $477 million you're not going to be wondering where your next meal is coming from and also when you consider that Back In Black is the 2nd highest-selling album of all time and has had sales of 49 million copies.

They are not even on spotify. So they really are true to their word.

LOL, I'm listening to "back in black" on last.fm right now, so that proves two things:

AC/DC are available to listen for free on-line
last.fm > spotify

Their albums have sold in colossal numbers; the total is now estimated at well over 200 million copies worldwide, with the 1980 album Back In Black selling over 21 million in the US alone and 40+ million worldwide, making it, according to statistics, the best selling album in the world ever to be released by a band

Blimey, they really don't need it do they

??? Their main objection seems to be that they don't think people should be able to buy single songs as they believe in albums.
Surely they could have a contract with the online retailers that wouldn't allow them to sell songs individually?

Maybe they prefer CD sales as their royalty rates from those are muchg higher than from download sales?
