The thing is on the bendy A roads I wouldn't mind, unless you know some of them they can be tricky for some people. I wouldn't mind so long as they they did 30 through the small villages but many don't, they're just tw@s.

Great..... now we have to sitting behind the idiots lane hogging. They should be the ones getting the fine.
Motorway middle lane hoggers are the worse..... a fine would be a good start for them but death by firing squad would be better

Exactly that's the part that annoys me. The slow speed in the 60 zone, I could cope with by itself.

It's a problem because it demonstrates that the driver has a complete disregard for the Highway Code: 138 On a three-lane dual carriageway, you may use the middle lane or the right-hand lane to overtake but return to the middle and then the left-hand lane when it is safe. and if they can't manage a simple thing like staying in the left hand lane, what does it say for their level of driving skill? Also, some drivers have a very low anger threshold, and even small things like this can be enough to set them off. Driving standards in this country are bad enough as it is - it's about time drivers were brought to book. I also think that everyone should be treated equally, irrespective of their situation. If you can afford to buy and run a car then you can afford a fine if you mess up. If you're on a low income then you should just drive more carefully. Where's the deterrent if you know that if you're caught, plead poverty and get a £10 fine.

So, if you're rich, it's ok to drive like a d!ck because you can afford the fine? Points FTW. Drive like a d!ck, and you lose your licence; or at least have to cough up more for insurance.

Anyone caught driving a small hatchback, whilst wearing a baseball cap backwards, should just be shot on sight too.

Driving ability has nothing to do with how wealthy a person is - the law is the law and if you break it you should suffer the same consequences. Problem in this country is there's a growing proportion of drivers who buy a car for a few hundred quid, don't insure it and drive like complete idiots because they know that if they get caught they'll get a slap on the wrists and the car confiscated. Loss = a few hundred quid. That's hardly a disincentive. If they faced losing the car and a £1000 fine, they might think twice about it. I mean, they may loose their big plasma TVs and their Playstations, and may have to do without a holiday.

Gah! Some twit in a Jag thought it was funny to break hard twice on a large-ish roundabout and then shook his fist at me when I overtook him. Moron, A bit more context. From work, there's a dual carriageway at 40mph. Straight on ahead it becomes a 50mph dual carriageway. To the left and right, you have the slip roads for the motorway. The roundabout is more oval rather than circle, with the two points in the same direction as the DC. Mr Jag was driving at ~35mph on the DC. I sat behind him at the same speed, nice and chilled. Car from the right around the roundabout. Jag, indicating right, in front sets off. Another car coming from the right. I decide to jump on to the roundabout and follow the Jag around. At the first "straight", the Jag hits the brakes for no reason. Does it again at the point/apex of the roundabout. I'm not particularly close and it doesn't take much to dab the brake pedal and carry around. As we both indicate to turn off, he heads into the left lane of the slip lane and I go into the right lane and overtake. As I pass, he shakes his fist at me. As far as I'm aware, I didn't do anything wrong. I wasn't close to him. I wasn't aggressive (until I overtook him on the slip road). Chump has a private plate, so I'll keep an eye out for him next time and see how much he likes my upgraded brakes with racing pads.
