Tintin wasn't afraid of using guns - but that particular image - Tintin and Snowy in front of a spotlight was always a "heading off to adventure" image for me. No gun necessary. I bet the tooled him up for the US audience where a gun is the solution to all problems.

The Yanks don’t know who Tintin is. So it has to be shouted at them.

I don't like the look of Snowy in that picture. Looks a bit odd.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

There is an oddness to Snowy. He doesn't seem as fuzzy as he should, and looks perpetually angry.

Perhaps mangy would be a good description.

Okay. Am I the only one worried that CGI is venturing into Uncanny Valley? I prefer animations to have a certain cartoon feel to them. Striving to make the characters look like real humans just doesn't work for me. I just find it a bit unnerving, because I'm expecting true human reactions, gestures and expressions, and they never quite hit the mark. This leaves me with a slightly uneasy feeling while I'm watching the stuff. The Polar Express is another in the genre.

I enjoyed Polar Express. Think I might even watch this one too.
