on the one hand this guy is happy to be filmed/watched playing with his balls
then on the other when he uses his balls he/himself tries to ban it ... strange ...

If he has that reputation now, then I am sure that his sponsors would be very interested to know about this especially if they have a morality clause in their contract. The only reason for spending the sums of money involved to defend such behaviour is that he has much more to lose if it were exposed. Now a divorce settlement for a footballer could be substantial but then so would the loss of a sponsorship deal. For most people, if it were disclosed that they had been shagging Imogen Thomas for seven months I think that they would be proud of the fact, less so if they were married.

I am wondering who are the commentators who are breaking the super injunction? I do not watch football that much so the voices are meaningless apart from one. :D

It might also make a good ring tone.

Well, the voices are not so relevant, it's more about the original song:

Apparently the Herald won't be in any trouble. Scottish legal system with no distribution to England and no availability on the internet means that the English Superinjunction does not apply.

It just shows how pointless superinjunctions are.

I laughed at my mate saying that if a censoring black box across the eyes is good enough for the SAS, it's good enough for a stupid tw@ like Ryan Giggs

The logic is self-consuming,cyclical and recursive. I wonder if people told the footballer in question that the “B” in “Benoît B. Mandelbrot” stands for “Benoît B. Mandelbrot”.

Did anyone see the BBC News this morning? They had a photo of the Sunday herald front cover, but with two big black boxes above & beneath the 'censored' box. Funniest thing I've seen in ages.

In fact, here you go...

Now if they broadcasted from Scotland as a separate legal entity they might not have needed the boxes. In fact from what I gather the Herald did not even need to black out his eyes.

From what I read in the Independent, it seems this approach has been tried by a newspaper before and it did not stop the company from being found in contempt of court.

Quote:
However Campbell Deane, of the leading Scottish libel firm Bannatyne Kirkwood France & Co, said he believed the paper was covered by the injunction and could now be referred to the Lord Advocate, who could bring charges against the paper's editor and its owners.

Mr Deane said that the 1991 ruling by the House of Lords in relation to publication of extracts by the Sunday Times of former MI5 officer Peter Wright's autobiography, Spycatcher, meant newspapers could be in contempt of an English court if they were aware of an injunction – even if they were not specifically covered by it.
