I'd be interested to know if he ever actually did. They're notoriously hard, your Harrier.

It's like.. I'm qualified to drive a Bugatti Veyron, but I don't think you'd actually want to let me drive one round say Snowdonia in the rain.

I'm qualified to drive really quite big trucks, but you wouldn't want me driving one down your street - especially if it's a dead end and I had to reverse it
Crazy thing is, I may very well have to do just that one day. Probably not actually your street though, that would be quite a coincidence.

It's nothing like that at all.

In order to fly any aircraft in the military, you have to have been instructed, practised and tested on the model of aircraft in question. If you're qualified on a Mk 4 Harrier T, you're not qualified on a GR9.

Down my dead end street, with its multiple right angle corners, that would definitely be a YouTube moment.

The only rational explanation Bratty is that the Nazi helmet still held some of the spirit energy of its former owner, thus when you tried it on, unknowingly you were allowing the soul of a dead Nazi to pass into your dream-state conciousness. What you now experience as dreams are in fact, probably, real memories of the soldier.
